Riverview is one of the 32 official neighborhood focus areas recognized by the City of Port St. Lucie, on the northern side of the city in the 34983 zip code, in the part of town that leans toward the North Fork of the St. Lucie River. It is established, built out, and priced well below the newer communities west of I-95.
What Homes Are Like in Riverview
The housing is predominantly older single-family homes on full-size lots, with concrete block and frame both well represented and homeowners associations largely absent. That makes this a practical choice for buyers who want a workshop, a boat in the driveway or a real backyard. Because most of the inventory has some age on it, the roof, panel, plumbing and window condition are what separate a good buy from an expensive one, and they are also what your insurance quote will hinge on.
Location and Getting Around
US-1 and the river are to the east, I-95 is west across the city, and Fort Pierce is a short run north. The North Fork and the Savannas Preserve give this side of Port St. Lucie a good deal of open water and green space for kayaking, fishing and trails.

- Roof age and insurance. On homes of this vintage the roof drives the insurance quote more than anything else. Get a quote before you are under contract, not after.
- Water and sewer. Parts of this side of Port St. Lucie were on well and septic for years. Confirm what the address has and whether a city connection is required or available.
