Port Salerno Homes for Sale
Port Salerno is Stuart's old fishing village, set on Manatee Pocket just inside the St. Lucie Inlet. It still has a working waterfront, with commercial fishing docks, boatyards and marinas, next to waterfront restaurants and a boardwalk. Around it are older no-HOA streets, condos on the water and newer gated neighborhoods.

What Sells in Port Salerno
Most homes here are 3-bedroom single-family houses, and about half of all buyers paid cash. The mix is wider than most of Stuart, though. On the same few square miles you will find 1950s-1980s concrete-block houses with no HOA and room for a boat, condos and townhomes on the water, a 55+ golf community, and new gated construction.
Because so many homes are older and have no association, Port Salerno is one of the better parts of Stuart for buyers who want to keep a boat or trailer at home. No HOA dues also means there are no dues counted in your debt-to-income ratio when you finance, which can help you qualify for more house. County code still applies.

Manatee Pocket & Boating
Manatee Pocket is the reason many buyers look here. It is a protected harbor that runs from Port Salerno toward the St. Lucie Inlet, so boats in the Pocket are close to the ocean. Marinas and parks on the Pocket host sport fishing tournaments, and a working fishing fleet still unloads here.
A boardwalk runs from the Port Salerno Civic Center past the waterfront restaurants, and the Fish House Art Center has working artist studios. Restaurants you can reach by boat include Shrimpers Grill & Raw Bar, Manatee Island Bar & Grill and The Twisted Tuna. Jonathan Dickinson State Park is a short drive south.
