The Florida Club is a gated, all-ages golf community in southwest Stuart, built by DiVosta between 1996 and 2004. It has single-family homes and 2-bedroom villas set along an 18-hole golf course, lakes and preserves, with quick access to I-95.
The golf course is open to the public and run separately from the community. That means you get gated golf-course living without a required membership and without paying through your HOA to maintain the course. Golf & Amenities
The Florida Club's 18-hole course winds through the community, and its clubhouse has a restaurant and pro shop that are open to the public. You can play as a daily-fee golfer or take out a membership, but neither is required to own a home here.
For residents, the community has a private lakeside pool, tennis and pickleball courts and a library. Because the golf course is not part of the HOA, you get the views and the gate without carrying the cost of a private club. Compare it with Summerfield, which also sits on a public course, and Mariner Sands, where membership is required.
The Homes
DiVosta built all of the Florida Club's homes with poured concrete walls, and most are one-story with 2-car garages. The single-family homes mostly have 3 or 4 bedrooms, and many have a private pool. The villas have 2 bedrooms, 2 baths and a 2-car garage, which makes them a popular low-maintenance choice for seasonal owners and downsizers.
