Finding a condo that takes your dog is one of the hardest parts of buying in Stuart. About half of Stuart condo sales over the last three years were in buildings that allow pets. About 4 in 10 were in buildings that do not allow them at all, including most of Stuart's large 55+ communities. Even where pets are welcome, most buildings limit how many and how big.
This page lists the Stuart condo communities that most often allow pets, the limits to expect, and what to confirm before you buy. The live listings are filtered to condos marked pet-friendly in the MLS and update automatically.
| Condos that allow pets | About half of Stuart condo sales (MLS, last 3 years) |
|---|---|
| Condos with no pets | About 4 in 10 |
| Number limits | About 8 in 10 pet-friendly sales listed a limit on the number of pets; one pet is the most common limit |
| Size limits | About 7 in 10 listed a size or weight limit; 20 to 25 pounds is common |
| Waterfront | About half of pet-friendly condo sales were on the water |
| Where | Mostly downtown Stuart and Hutchinson Island |
These communities most often showed "pets allowed" on sold listings in the MLS. Rules can change when an association votes, so we confirm the current rules for every unit.
Hanson's Landing and Parkview also showed pets allowed on most sales. If a condo's limits are too tight for your pet, a townhome or a house with no HOA may be a better fit. See Stuart homes with no HOA.

| Limit | What to ask |
|---|---|
| Number of pets | Most pet-friendly buildings cap it, often at one pet and sometimes two. Ask whether cats and dogs count the same. |
| Size or weight | Weight caps of 20 to 25 pounds are common. Ask whether the limit is at purchase or full-grown. |
| Breed | A smaller number of buildings list breed restrictions. |
| Tenants | Some buildings allow pets for owners but not for renters. |
| Replacement | Some associations let you keep a current pet but not replace it later. Ask about "grandfathered" pets. |
