Port St. Lucie has six main residential zip codes: 34952, 34953, 34983, 34984, 34986 and 34987. Rather than a picture that is hard to read on a phone, this page describes each one in words — where it is, which roads frame it, and what kind of homes you will find — with a link to the listing page for each zip. Current Port St. Lucie listings appear above, updated from the MLS.
Picture the city in two kinds of territory:
34953 is the link between the two: platted lots like the east side, but built out later and bordering the Tradition area, which is why it has so much newer single-family construction.
Runs along US-1 and the North Fork of the St. Lucie River, south toward the Sandpiper Bay area. South Bend (South Bend Lakes) sits just across the line in 34984. Oldest housing in the city, most of its water frontage, and more condos and villas than other zips.
Centered on Becker Road, Port St. Lucie Boulevard and Gatlin Boulevard. A large, still-growing supply of single-family homes built mostly since 2000, many without an HOA, edging into the Tradition area.
Around Prima Vista Boulevard, Airoso Boulevard and St. James Drive, near US-1 on the north side of the city. Older concrete block homes on full lots, mostly no HOA.
Between Port St. Lucie Boulevard and Bayshore Boulevard, with Crosstown Parkway running through it. A mix of 1980s through 2000s homes, central to I-95 and US-1.
West of I-95 around the St. Lucie West Boulevard interchange and the Turnpike, including PGA Village. Planned communities, many gated, plus Clover Park.
Tradition, Southern Grove, Riverland, Wylder and the Verano area. Newest construction, 55+ communities, and Community Development Districts on most tax bills.

These are generalizations; every zip has exceptions. The listing on the specific house is what counts.
Zip codes are a good first filter because each one roughly lines up with a kind of housing. They are a weak last filter, because a zip can contain very different streets. The way I use them with buyers:
Tell me your commute, budget and whether you want an HOA, and I will point you to the two or three areas worth your time.

A zip code is a postal route, not a city boundary. A few things to know:
If you have a particular street in mind, send it to me and I will tell you what zip, jurisdiction and neighborhood it falls in.
The main residential zip codes are 34952, 34953, 34983, 34984, 34986 and 34987.
Tradition is in 34987, along with Southern Grove, Riverland, Wylder and the Verano area.
St. Lucie West is 34986, which also includes PGA Village.
Most no-HOA single-family homes are in 34953, 34983, 34984 and parts of 34952, the original platted areas of the city east of I-95.
34952 has the most river and saltwater canal frontage, but canal and lake homes appear in other zips too.
No. Some properties with a Port St. Lucie mailing address are in unincorporated St. Lucie County. Ask me to check a specific address.
